An esteemed education network is seeking a Paraprofessional to work with students with developmental/intellectual disabilities in Nassau County. Your main responsibilities will be to aid the students as instructed by the teachers and other staff and ensure the well-being and safety of the classroom by carrying out assigned duties.
The base pay for this position is $17 to $21 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer. Responsibilities:
Work under the direction and guidance of administration or designee in supporting the needs of students while promoting the students growth and achievement.
Will assist the students care team with a variety of personal care assistance to students including but not limited to toileting, feeding, physical lifting of students for hygiene and body positioning changes if required.
May be asked to review student IEPs on an as needed basis to ensure students needs are understood and being met.
Supporting students transitions during arrival and dismissal, between subjects/classes in school, and between activities.
Will complete all necessary reports, logs, paperwork related to services provided to students.
Requirements:
High School Diploma required
At least 6 months of experience working with special education students

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
