Salary:
Up to $17/hr Schedule:

Responsibilities:
As a Recreation Aide at Parkview, you will have the exciting opportunity to:
Collaborate with department staff to create and implement personalized activities and programs that cater to the individual interests of our residents.
Engage directly with residents on our units, fostering a warm and supportive environment.
Work closely with our Recreation Director to set up, execute, and tidy up programs as required.
Efficiently organize and procure necessary supplies and equipment to ensure the seamless execution of activities.
Provide assistance to our recreation specialists, assisting in program setup and maintenance.
Maintain detailed records of daily attendance and document residents' active participation in activities.
Guide residents to program locations and assist them in returning to their respective units.
Team up with our Recreation Director to craft or modify the recreation calendar, and coordinate with external partners for exciting recreational activities.
You'll also be responsible for distributing these calendars.
Familiarize yourself with our established emergency procedures to ensure the safety of all residents.
Embrace other responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
A contagious positive attitude and abundant energy to uplift our residents' spirits.
Experience in activities within healthcare settings or relevant coursework in recreation therapy.
Previous exposure to working with the geriatric population is a plus.
Proficiency in essential computer skills.
A strong team-player mindset, coupled with impressive organizational and multitasking skills.
