We are searching for a Full time certified X-ray tech for our Massapequa office.
Candidate will also have to travel to our Syosset, Deer Park and East Meadow locations.
Candidate should be available on weekends.
Candidate should be reliable and punctual and share the same emphasis on patient satisfaction.
The essential duties include the following, other duties may be assigned.
The X-Ray technologist operates or oversees operation of radiologic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient:
adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Performs daily quality insurance of the x-ray machine.
Develops and maintains filing system of all x-rays taken.
Serves as resource person for other agencies in activities related to health care, or to clinical operation.
Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials in the work area and knowledge of Hazcom procedures.
Requirements NY state department registered radiological technologist.
